What certifications do DreamBed Lux mattresses have? All DreamBed Lux mattresses contain CertiPUR-US® certified memory foam. CertiPUR-US foams are independently certified to be free of ozone depleters, PBDEs, TDCPP or TCEP (”Tris”) flame retardants, heavy metals, formaldehyde or phthalates regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. They contain Low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million). Learn more about certified foam.

What safety tests have you done on your mattresses? The federal government requires all mattresses sold in the US to meet very stringent burn tests, as governed by 16 CFR 1633 and 1632. Our foam is tested regularly by CertiPUR-US® to insure the highest standard of quality.

How do I unpack my mattress?Your mattress will arrive compressed in a box for easy transfer to your room of choice. Your new mattress was compressed for shipping. It should be opened as soonas possible upon receipt. Prolonged compression may cause permanent damage and the mattress may not recover properly. 2 people are recommended to move and set-up. Move the mattress in the box to the room you want to use your mattress in. Open the package, remove mattress from box and place on a supportive, well-ventilated foundation or all-in-one foundation frame. Carefully cut away plastic and unroll and unfold the mattress on your frame. Discard packaging material. Be sure to keep away from children. Allow mattress to fully recover to size. May take 12-48 hours. You may notice a new foam scent when you first open your mattress. This scent is harmless and will dissipate. To help this process, increase ventilation in the room (open windows), roll on your mattress to eliminate tiny air pockets and/or spray your mattress with a fabric refresher. Do not cover the mattress with linens until completely dry.

How do I care for my mattress? If your mattress gets soiled, spot clean with minimial water and mild detergent. If the cover gets soiled, remove using the zipper and wash according to the care tag instructions sewn into the cover. To protect your mattress from soil, water and stains, use a stain resistand and / or water repellent mattress pad or protector. Avoid spilling liquids or solvents on your mattress. Rotate 180 degrees every six months so that head area becomes foot area, especially if you sleep alone or you and your sleep partner have a large weight disparity. Do not stand or jump on your mattress.
